Research

Understanding tissue
through physics.

My research connects the mechanical properties of biological tissues with ultrasound measurements and their clinical interpretation.

01

Liver elastography

Investigating two-dimensional shear wave elastography in paediatric liver transplantation and Fontan-associated liver disease, with a focus on liver stiffness assessment and clinical monitoring.

02

Tissue biomechanics

Investigating the mechanical properties of soft tissues through experimental testing and computational modelling, with applications in ultrasound elastography.

03

Vascular Doppler ultrasound

Investigating ophthalmic artery blood flow in preeclampsia and diabetic retinopathy, including its relationship with retinal microvascular changes assessed using optical coherence tomography angiography (OCTA).
